Hashtagging your Wedding | Dubai Wedding Photography Trends

Here’s a nifty little idea. We know that hash tagging your wedding has become a fairly regular trend in Dubai (#DubaiWeddingPhotography)

(For those of you who don’t follow wedding trends as obsessively as we do, couples are now creating a hashtag that is unique to their wedding and sharing it with their guests as a way to access the wedding photographs their guests take during their events. The hashtag can be a combination of their names and a date or whatever their hearts desire. This allows their tech savvy guests to upload images and type in the custom #hashtag such as #RossAndRachel4Ever, for instance. This allows the photos to be searchable and stored in one place for the couple to enjoy for years to come.)

But what happens to those guest-images that either don’t get hash tagged, or misspelt?

This simple, yet clever little app solves exactly this problem. “Wedding Party collects all your wedding photos from guests & keeps everyone in the loop with up-to-date wedding details.“

For brides and grooms, its an amazing way to see your own wedding through the eyes of your guests, without losing any of the pictures taken. Plus, how awesome is it for all the guests to also know what’s happening in the far corners of your wedding event(s)! Just get your guests to download the app and click away.
That being said, there are perils to having such a connected wedding. These could range from having less-than flattering pictures being uploaded, to having your guests get preoccupied with being ‘social’, rather than being present and simply enjoying the amazing moments you’ve planned for your day.
We definitely recommend considering the pros and cons before committing to the hashtag.
