Who doesn’t want great wedding photos? Obviously, nobody. When getting married in Dubai, one of the best ways to get fun, colourful photos is with Wedding confetti. Some of you may frown and mumble that confetti is old-fashioned and passe, but with all the innovative alternatives present today, that thought is far from being true. To inspire you, here are some of our favourite confetti ideas – perfect to make your first kiss, first dance, pheras, entrance to your wedding reception or even your farewell, as memorable as possible.
Disclaimer: You do stand a risk of getting some of this stuff in your eye, but HEY! just put on a pair of sunglasses if you’re worried – the ideas are totally worth it, cause your photos are going to look fabulous!
1. Sequins or Glitter
Big fan of sparkle and shimmer? Add some sequins or glitter to your wedding confetti. While there is a chance that some of this may stick with you for the rest of the night, the plus side is, there really isn’t anything more festive and gorgeous than gold glitter.
More of a neat-freak? Minimise the mess of confetti by using mini flags with fun, personalised, celebratory sayings! If you’re crafty, this can be a great DIY project. They’ll become a great prop for the photo-booth too (and a dance floor accessory) – we promise!
3. Pom Poms
This idea is becoming more popular these days – Pom Poms are a great (and non-invasive) alternative to confetti. It may sound a little strange, but these large, colourful fluffy bits will make the photos look amazing!
These are one of our absolute favourites! They’re a fun and unique confetti idea, and if you personalise the little bottles, they act as great wedding favours too! Oh and – kids love these (another bonus, just saying.)
For those of you who are more traditional, rice is still a great choice. To give it a modern spin however, try packaging it in a unique, more personalised way.
6. Twirling Ribbon and Bell Wand
This is one of the cutest of all confetti alternatives. Get your guests to wave these pretty ribbon wands (in your events colours) while you and your groom walk through your exit tunnel to the chimes of these tiny tinkling bells.
And finally, if you’re totally against the confetti tradition, opt for sparklers that provide a theatrical entrance or exit. Really, how awesome are these wedding ideas! (we’ll recommend anything to up the ante on the photos.)
